Blessed is the marriage in which the husband thanks God for giving him his wife.
Proverbs 31:11 The heart of her husband trust in her, and he will have no lack of gain.
A women who fears the Lord is to be praised
She has the ability to tear down or build up her home.
You are a crown or a cancer according to the Bible.
Proverbs 27:15 A quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping on a rainy day.
It’s annoying
It destroys
It shows something is wrong
The consequence: The husband looks elsewhere or is not actively engaged in the marriage.
To the UNMARRIED:
Don’t just look for beauty, look for wisdom and discretion.
Proverbs 11:22 Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful women without discretion.
We need God’s wisdom over wickedness
Wickedness: disregarding righteousness, truth, honor, virtue evil in thought and life; depravity; sinfulness; criminality."
Proverbs 2:12-13 Delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech, who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness...
Perverse speech, twisted words, they are devious
Listen to people to talk...are they divisive?
Do they cause problems?
What should do we do?
Detect and avoid these relationships W
hen you hear something or see something that does not honor God - turn from it.
This goes for social media...do you like what God hates?
Is that a salvation issue?
Is it using spiritual wisdom?
What does God think about it?
REMEMBER: Proverbs 3:1 ...keep sound wisdom and discretion.
“Fools” do the opposite...
Proverbs 1:7 ...they despise wisdom and instruction.
They won’t learn from God - it’s a heart issue. There is no fear or submission to God.
Proverbs 17:24 Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom, but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth.
They can’t keep their eyes on what’s important.
They can’t control their speech
